Hey, Dad, my fish is bigger than yours! The dreaded fisherman...

2006 Season

The Kings on the Nushagak this year were consistently larger in size, and the run lasted through July!

At our July Luau we had a ceremony to recognize

E. Hadley Stuart Jr. for his 60 years of continued patronage.

We look forward to his great company every year!

Luau kabobs fresh off the grill were the highlight

of the meal at our tenth year anniversary party!

                     Can you find the fisherman?
                        Who's smilin'?                     Working in pairs.
Do you think this bear is giving "our" fishing expertise a standing ovation? Looks more like an intrusion to me.
Can you hear the rushing waters? Beauty to be found everywhere!

Another use for Mr. Beaver's house at the pike lake.

                     Damn Job
                        Sam says it's definitely worth the hike.   It's a bite!  It's a fish!  It's a pike!

Erin & Scott can't think of a better way to celebrate a birthday--Rainbow fishing!

Unbelievable fishing for king salmon on the famed Nushagak.

Having a great time on a pristine river in Alaska!

Nice Rainbow!

Iliamna--land of the 10 lb. Rainbows

Take some home to show the guys!

Fly fishing for sockeye is rewarding not just because they're great fighting fish, but also because they are the SUPREME eating salmon. Iliamna River Sockeye

GREAT

GREAT fly fishing!

A feisty rainbow that fought its way to this angler for a nice picture!

My kind of work!

Stress management at its finest! A mixed bag of bright Alaska salmon. What would the grandkid think about this kind of fishing? Memories are waiting to be made at Guth's Lodge.

The breathtaking view at Iliamna Bay

Hurry with that camera!

One of our guests' favorite take-home fish is the halibut. Some prefer catching halibut over all other fish.

They can challenge your tackle and your muscle, and have been known to burn out more than one reel.

But this lucky client has all the halibut he needs; make room in the freezer, honey!

Halibut!

And here's the proof. Congratulations, Dale Andreason, Las Vegas, NV, on this 225 pound barn-door halibut. Caught June 19, 1999. Dale's from Vegas, but he doesn't gamble when it comes to fishing. He books with Guth's Lodge.

And, of course, we don't forget to enjoy the Alaska Fireweed along the way.  They say when it's topped out...summer is over.  Fish on, boys, fish on!

Evidence of one of the locals!

Mr. Bruin checking us out.

Lunch anyone?

A nice Searun Dolly you have there, Joe.

Wouldn't you say she has her work cut out for her?

Triplets are common in our area.

Now, is this fun, or WHAT?!

Is this fun, or WHAT?! And we suspect SHE'S smiling because some one else is fixing up a GREAT dinner back at the lodge!

Back In The Water, My Pretty!

Hands-on experience!

Who's happier--Doug or the Rainbow?

A Nushagak Chinook is a hand-full as well as a "pan-full" for any man!

Hang on Gil!

A great day in Alaska!

Gary agrees that memories are made of this!

Lois is in "Coho Heaven"!

Alright!

I could do this for a living!

Myron Baldwin with another big Rainbow from the Iliamna River.

Dennis is getting into the action also.

Stan is King

A nice Trout for Margaret

Aw, these fellers have worked hard all day. They deserve to kick back before dinner, dog gone it... Or are they bummed out because the ladies out-fished them?

Sam caught this Char on a dry fly!

Vacation of a lifetime!

The line-up

As you can see from our photo album, Guth's Lodge is a great place for all-guy bookings, family groups, married couples, grandparents with grandkids--anyone looking for a place to get away from it all. You'll love it!
